- Marcel's love of glitter comes from the fact that it reminds him of the stars and of course, his species are naturally prone to fluttering about in the night's sky as they spread a shimmering powder... Thus, he's just drawn to the stuff. There's almost always some traces of glitter on the student and it's not unusual for him to carry small, lip-gloss sized containers full of the stuff wherever he goes.

- Despite his small frame, Marcel can throw quite a punch. No doubt this is due to his natural ability; Iron Fist.

- The swarm of ladybugs he keeps with him are his treasured companions and he won't tolerate anyone bringing harm to them; Marcel can communicate with the tiny creatures and command them at will if he so wishes. While he does prefer to bring them with him at all times, he understands that not every situation is suitable for that. As such, he will either tell them to wait for him just out of sight until he is done, or they remain at home in his bedroom where he has a custom made vivarium for them to happily reside in. This is where they stay during the night as well.

He will lose his temper if someone deliberately hurts his bugs. Marcel doesn't get angry often, but that's a definite way to get a punch to the throat.

- Marcel loves to dance; it's a great use of all his energy and it's not uncommon for him to incorporate a little rhythm into a simple walk. What a huge dork.
